Negatives connected with Green Electricity Sources

With most things, you are told to weigh the benefits against the disadvantages, and take the data to make your decision. If you need to make your decision on whether to work with Green Energy Sources or not, you will see the negatives but they are nothing when compared to having no energy source. If global warming is really a misconception, it doesn't mean that we should not apply green energy sources. The biggest advantage to using green energy is that it is clean and doesn't pollute the air with anything noxious. Green energy is also a renewable resource so we could by no means run out of it like fossil fuels.

The worst factor about green energy, is that the original start up cost is really quite expensive, but after that, it doesn't take nearly as much to continue to operate it. Another draw back is the volume of energy that can be generated may be inconsistent. Solar and wind energy can certainly produce electrical energy effectively however modifications in the weather may cause a short term decline. Some think that constructing wind turbines will cause the amount of farmland to be decreased. Not all green energy sources can be set up anywhere on the planet, such as needing waves at least 16 feet high to be using wave energy. In places that are not really geologically unpredictable, it is not feasible to setup a geothermal energy.

But if carefully structured, there are many workarounds that would allow green energy to happen. For example, wind turbines can be set up in the vicinity of coastal waters and have shown to generate an even more dependable amount of electricity than in other landscapes. Weather might not be able to always be controlled, however the disturbances don't last every day, and at some point they pass. When the sun is covered and solar power is being used, stored energy will be used after the emergency generators are activated. Although it can happen, it is not going to happen as long as there are people in power who don't want to do it until it's too late. We have to proceed to do research to improve our current technology in order to discover new green energy sources.

Japan and Hawaii are applying ocean thermal energy, that is power generated by harnessing different temperatures of the water. The methods of energy used in the United States is currently from only about 7% natural sources. It was higher than that 11 years ago, but the concern pertaining to running out of energy seems to go up and down. When things appear serious, people want to look for other possibilities but once things settle, everything goes back to the status quo.

You can find many natural sources for producing energy, such as the wind, water, solar, geothermal, bio-diesel and biomass. Once corporations can find a way to profit from these sources as they can with oil, then you will find a big push for these green energy sources. If oil all of a sudden dried out, then the oil companies would be scrambling to find methods to benefit from a particular source. The sad part is actually these companies are just looking to profit than to be beneficial citizens of the earth.
