Bouy trihedron floating house

A logical response to the topic of a floating house is inspiration in the form of a buoy. It has a shape suitably modified for ideally standing on the water’s surface. One of the possible shape solutions that has proved itself is the trihedron in the form of a tetrahedron, for which in our case we have chosen rounded corners. The entire structure then can be reminiscent of not only a floating buoy but also a spaceship of a similar shape. The windows have been placed in this compact body to enable interesting views from the building of the water’s surface and the surrounding landscape. The form of a buoy is further enhanced by an outdoor covered terrace, placed on the highest, third floor. Thanks to being covered by a transparent white material, the terrace forms an impressively shining point at night. The top floor also allows an optimal lighting of the entire interior of the building from above. The abstract form of the buoy is reinforced by the white conception of the exterior and interior, which creates a more compact impression of the entire shape. The three-storey building has a common floor, located on the ground floor, which has the living room with dining room, kitchen and office. The second floor presents the resting part with bedrooms. The third floor consists of the already-mentioned outdoor terrace, covered by a translucent material. The entire space is connected by a vertical hall with a staircase. The triangular buoy is planned as a wooden construction with heat insulation. The regularity of the shape allows repetition and the prefabrication of the entire building, which applies also for the selected dimensions and shapes of the windows, which have been designed in only two types.
